On the surface, it may seem that offering reduced fee slots is pretty simple and straightforward. While that may be the case for some aspects of reduced fee services, keep in mind there are other aspects of offering a reduced fee that are often overlooked.
For clients receiving reduced fee services, it’s important to have them review and sign a reduced fee agreement.
Make sure to cover these important points in your agreement:
1. Cost: “The agreed upon fee is _____ per ___-minute session.” (e.g., $80 per 55-minute session)
2. Frequency: “The agreed upon frequency of appointments is ___________.” (e.g., weekly)
3. Evaluation: “The reduced fee may be re-evaluated by you and your therapist every ___ days.” (e.g., every 90 days)
4. “Payment is due at the time of service, unless otherwise agreed upon with your therapist.”
5. “The Late Cancellation & No-Show Policy applies to Reduced Fee Services.”
